Push-Up
How to do it
- 1
Place your hands slightly wider than your shoulders and extend your legs behind you.
- 2
Brace your core so your body forms a straight line from head to heels.
- 3
Lower your chest toward the floor, elbows at about 45° from your body.
- 4
Push the floor away until your arms are straight again.
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips sag or pike up.
- Doing half repetitions without bringing the chest close to the floor.
Tips
- Too hard? Elevate your hands on a bench (incline push-up).
- Too easy? Elevate your feet or add a slow three-second descent.
