Chest Dip
How to do it
- 1
Support yourself on parallel bars with straight arms.
- 2
Lean your torso forward slightly and bend your knees.
- 3
Lower yourself until your shoulders are just below your elbows.
- 4
Push back up to straight arms, keeping the forward lean.
Common mistakes
- Dropping too deep, which can strain the front of the shoulder.
- Staying fully upright, which shifts work to the triceps.
Tips
- Use an assisted dip machine or a band if you can't do 6 clean reps.
- Add weight with a dip belt once 12+ reps feel easy.
