Cable Crossover
How to do it
- 1
Set both pulleys at shoulder height or slightly above and grab a handle in each hand.
- 2
Step forward into a split stance with a slight forward lean.
- 3
With soft elbows, bring the handles together in front of your chest in a wide arc.
- 4
Return slowly until your arms are in line with your body.
Common mistakes
- Turning the movement into a press by bending the elbows too much.
- Leaning excessively and using body momentum.
Tips
- Changing pulley height changes the emphasis: high-to-low targets lower chest, low-to-high the upper chest.
- Cables keep tension on the chest through the whole range.
