Straight-Arm Pulldown
How to do it

Stand facing a high pulley holding a straight bar or rope with straight arms.

Hinge slightly forward with a neutral spine.
- 3
Sweep the bar down to your thighs, keeping the arms almost straight.
- 4
Let the bar rise slowly back to eye level.
Common mistakes
- Bending the elbows and turning it into a pushdown.
- Arching the lower back at the bottom.
Tips
- An isolation movement that teaches you to feel the lats working.
- Useful as a warm-up before pull-ups.
