Hamstrings · Lower backAdvanced
Good Morning
How to do it
- 1
Place a light barbell on your upper back as for a squat.
- 2
Soften the knees and brace your core.
- 3
Hinge at the hips, pushing them back until your torso approaches parallel.
- 4
Return to standing by driving the hips forward.
Common mistakes
- Using heavy weight before mastering the hinge.
- Rounding the spine.
Tips
- Start very light — this is a leverage-heavy movement.
- Keep the bar tight against your back.
